Rum Point

Filed under: Travel — admin @ 12:50 pm

One of the most loved beach retreats on Grand Cayman is Rum Point. It is considered a true paradise located on the lovely north coast of the island. Locals usually reach the beach with a private boat across the North Sound; however, with a Cayman Islands car rental, this white sand beach is just a 45 minute drive from George Town.

Visitors and locals alike are attracted to Rum Point because of its shallow crystal blue waters. Cayman Islands car rentals from Andy’s Car Rentals will give you the opportunity to reach this destination and enjoy the retreat for as long as you like! It is a perfect beach for swimming and snorkeling. In addition, the beach is a great location for wind surfers, sailboats, wave runners and water-skiers. If you are searching for a more relaxing day in the sun, you can take a nap in one of the many hammocks or just lay right on the soft white sandy beach. Along with the many hammocks, the beach is dotted with restaurants, bars, and water sports shops.

Another appealing aspect about Rum Point is that it is family friendly. The calm shallow waters create a perfect playground for children and adults to play together. The beach is also equipped with convenient changing rooms, restrooms, and showers. In order to make the most out of your rent a car, Grand Cayman should really be explored one beach at a time—starting with Rum Point.

Uses of Bamboo

Filed under: Home improvement — admin @ 12:32 pm

While bamboo flooring is currently taking the design world by storm, bamboo has been utilized for a wide variety of uses for years, particularly in East and South East Asia.

The shoots of bamboo are actually edible by humans, although this isn’t the case for every species (the shoots cut from the species known as Giant Bamboo actually contain dangerous amounts of the poison cyanide.) Bamboo shoots can be purchased both fresh and canned in many grocery stores around the world. They are used in many broths and other dishes in Asia.

Bamboo wood can be treated to be both extremely strong and light. Because it is incredibly durable, it is an ideal material to be used in construction. A bamboo hardwood floor is also beautiful and even trendy addition to a home or office.
