Foam for Outdoors

Filed under: Hardware,Industrial and Manufacturing — admin @ 11:35 am

Being outdoors is great. In fact, many studies confirm it has actual health benefits, in terms of exposure to the sun and natural sounds. Of course, one great thing about the times we live in is that we can enjoy the outdoors with the help of modern day amenities. Think how difficult it would be to simply take in a beautiful afternoon if we didn’t have furniture to help. Thanks to these furnishings though, time outside doesn’t need to be spent without comfort.

Seat cushions play a major role here. Most of us would prefer not to simply sit on cold hard metal or rough wood, after all. So we put cushions over these materials to provide comfort and support.

Outdoor foam is what makes this possible. Without outdoor foam, our cushions would have no give, but they also wouldn’t be able to push back the right way either. Foam meant for the outdoors is different than the indoor variety though, in that it is designed to take on the elements without falling apart. Larger cells make it more water-resistant and it is made from antimicrobial materials so you don’t get any unwelcomed guests.

Despite how well-designed foam is for the outdoors, it’s still important to do your best to maintain it. Clean it regularly and, when the weather gets really bad, bring it in from the outdoors.
