Foam Futon Cushions Offer Affordability and Versatility

Filed under: Goods and Services — admin @ 1:57 pm

Futons are used for many different reasons; some out of necessity, and others by choice. They offer a degree of versatility to people with living arrangements that don’t allow traditional furniture systems. And while utilitarian, the right futon can also give a user a combination of style, practicality, and comfort that’s hard to rival. Others simply just like their functionality and affordability over traditional pieces of furniture, even when they have the money and space to go conventional with their décor. No matter why you go with a futon, you should be able to find one that’s just as comfortable as a singular bed or couch.

Entry-level futons are college dorm standards, typically padded with a cushion that’s stuffed with cotton or polyester filling. This folding-bed-with-mattress setup is usually sufficient for cash-strapped students who will use and abuse it, and then trash it after graduation. But even for bargain-level futon frames, premium foam cushioning can transform a futon into something luxurious that will provide a much more enjoyable experience.

One of the most comfortable additions to a futon is a memory foam pad. Just like with traditional bedding, memory foam offers pressure relief as the foam forms to the body’s contours; a terrific experience for relaxing or sleeping. Memory foam can easily be tossed on to make a custom foam futon mattress, either as a solid slab for a firmer experience, or shredded foam packed into a cover for a more cushioning pad.

Other foam products great for futon comfort are Talalay latex mattresses. Latex foam forms to your body’s contours in spring-like fashion for immediate response to your movements. It is an aerating product that breathes as you move and keeps cool, due to its open-cell structure and pin-core design.
