Keep Your Belongings Safe While Moving

Filed under: Goods and Services — admin @ 4:02 pm

Moving is easily one of the most stressful events in a person’s life. You’re charged with juggling the search for a new home in an area you probably aren’t familiar with, deciding what you do and don’t need to take with you, and fitting this all within a very tight timeframe. Throughout this process, there will undoubtedly be unplanned or overlooked issues that arise, so it’s important to take control over what you can. One of the first places to start is how you pack your possessions.

In our homes, everything has its own place where it goes. When it’s time to move though, your stuff gets tossed into boxes with everything else. This can obviously become a problem when different things are packed together in boxes to save space and then shaken and tossed around until they reach their destination. To minimize the stress over worrying about your belongings, investing in custom packing material foam for shipping and moving can keep your valuables safe, giving you one less thing to think about.

The familiar eggcrate cushion pattern is one of the smartest packaging materials for moving, due to its economical cost and the softness of foam. It is easily trimmed to the sizes you need, and reduces the shifting of possessions in transit. For protecting larger or heavy pieces like dressers or tables, foam rubber sheets are a durable choice that can pad and prevent gouges and scratches without tearing. They can perform double duty once you get to your new home as well, by serving as a patio furniture cushion under the feet of tables or couches to keep from damaging hardwood floors or tiles.

If you have a move looming, be proactive and add some practical packaging materials to your moving list; they’ll help remove the repairs and replacement from your to-do list once your move is over.
