Why You Should Consider The 42 Ceiling Fan Among Other Types

Filed under: Home improvement — publisher @ 1:54 am

Perhaps the only issue that you might have with a 42 ceiling fan or any other type for that matter is the fact that you will have to install the fan yourself or call for an electrician who will then do it for you.

Apart from this, you will have to clean the blades once in a while or check if the screws which attach the ceiling fan blades to the motor housing are tightly in place.

Here are a few reasons as to why it is a good idea to install a ceiling fan in your home:

#1: Lower utility bills

In comparison to air conditioners or heaters, any fan (even a brushed nickel ceiling fan!) only uses energy that a 100 watt bulb uses. You can imagine how much lesser your utility bills will be whether you use it in the summer or winter. Over a year, the amount that you save can amount to a lot even though it might not seem that much at the outset. Of course, money saved is money earned!

#2: Brings temperatures down in summer

Apart from the fact that you can save up to 40 percent on your air conditioning bills, it has been said that using a fan (which creates circulation) and thus, can drop temperatures by eight degrees. Of course, the blades have to circulate the air while moving in the counter-clockwise direction. It is also suggested that if the outside temperature isn’t too hot, then opening the windows would provide better circulation in the room.

#3: Distributes warm air in the room during winter

As a principle, warm air is lighter than cool air. So, during the winter, the warm air stays at the top while the cold air remains at the bottom. If you run the fan clockwise, you will find that this warm recirculates back into the room also reducing the need for a heater to be on at all times.
