Perhaps the only issue that you might have with a 42 ceiling fan or any other type for that matter is the fact that you will have to install the fan yourself or call for an electrician who will then do it for you.
Apart from this, you will have to clean the blades once in a while or check if the screws which attach the ceiling fan blades to the motor housing are tightly in place.

Of course, the blades have to circulate the air while moving in the counter-clockwise direction. It is also suggested that if the outside temperature isn’t too hot, then opening the windows would provide better circulation in the room.
#3: Distributes warm air in the room during winter
As a principle, warm air is lighter than cool air. So, during the winter, the warm air stays at the top while the cold air remains at the bottom. If you run the fan clockwise, you will find that this warm recirculates back into the room also reducing the need for a heater to be on at all times.
