Fresh and Warm Air for a Cozy Home

Filed under: Construction — admin @ 4:41 am

As the holidays come ever closer, the days grown shorter and the nights grow colder. We start firing up our heaters and furnaces, keeping our homes nice and toasty, making sure that everyone in the family doesn’t end the day with a case of the shivers. But as you fire up the heaters this year, you sometimes can’t help but smell a foul guest in the background, making your otherwise warm and toasty retreat, a funky mix of funny odor.

This time around, even before the chills come crashing in, be ready and replace your home’s furnace air filter to prevent dirt, dust, allergens, and the accompanying funny odor from coming in as well. By replacing your home’s heater filter you can reduce the amount of airborne pollutants in your home by up to 95 percent, as many new filters come with high efficiency substrates to filter out even the smallest of contaminants, ensuring your air is fresh and clean as you run your home’s furnace. Many replacement filters now come with electrostatically charged media, making filtration efficiency even better than that of multi-layer filter media, without the reduced airflow and bulk of many multi-layer filters. Upgrading is as easy as measuring your filter, ordering a new filter in the same size (often as easy as picking one from a list of sizes) and dropping the new one in. With this one simple change, not only will you enjoy fresher smelling air, but you will also enjoy cleaner, pollution free air for the holidays!

How to Find Pool Fencing Sydney

Filed under: Construction — publisher @ 2:36 am

Finding pool fencing Sydney is something that can be gone about a variety of different ways. For example, since technology has advanced so much there is always the option of taking a quick look to see what the internet has to offer. When going the internet route you will be able to see how long the person or business has been in the business as well as see what their clients have said about them. However, if you see something bad written about them it is suggested to leave them alone yet ultimately the decision remains up to you.

Another way to go about finding semi frameless glass fencing is to go to the old fashion method of the phone book. You can call each of the individuals or businesses and speak with them so you can see what they sound like on the phone. When taking this route it sort of gives you a chance to be able to analyze their personalities which will let you feel as though you have some sort of personal connection with them. However, if they seem rude on the phone you may want to politely tell them you will give them a call back and move on to the next number in the phone book.

Lastly, when you are looking for frameless glass pool fence you can always ask your friends and family where did they get their product from as well as who installed it; this way you can look at their work and decide if the person is worth your time or not.

The Four Areas of Architectural Interior Design

Filed under: Construction — admin @ 6:31 am

There are four elements of architectural interior design when the issue of refurbishment, redevelopment or relocation of a business office area comes up. While getting those four elements to work together in harmony may be difficult, the rewards for success and productivity are great.

When creating a new office space, it is important to incorporate opinions of different types of employees. For example, the way an employee who has to sit at a desk all-day would want the office to look would be different to that of a busy administrator or manager. Corporate executives on the other hand would have a different perspective on the matter. With this example in mind, the four design aspects to consider are appearance, comfort, economy and efficiency.

Appearance: Ensure the office space looks attractive, not only to the visitors but also to the people working there. The right choice of colors, plenty of natural light, space in which to move will all lead to increased productivity and physical and mental well-being.

Comfort: While physical comfort of employees is obvious, ergonomic comfort is important too. Strong or poor lights, distracting reflections on screens, ineffective use of space, can all lead to problems with employees.

Economy: Design an office space, which will help reduce fuel costs, including heating and lighting, and does not sacrifice on the previous two design aspects of comfort and appearance.

Efficiency: Create a layout that increases efficiency. For example, ensure that key service areas are easily accessible and look at the overall shape of the office.

The Burj Dubai

Filed under: Construction — admin @ 11:56 am

Human innovation has led to a wide variety of different building and structure designs, from the simplest prefabricated metal building to the most complex architectural wonder.   Falling into the latter category is an impressive new supertall skyscraper that is currently being constructed in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.  Known as the Burj Dubai, this building, despite not even being complete yet, is already the tallest manmade structure anywhere in the world.  It is expected that the Burj Dubai will be ready for occupation as of September of this year.

The construction of this concrete and steel building began back in 2004.  As of the end of 2008, the Burj Dubai was 2,559 ft (or 780 m) tall.  When finished, it will have over 3.5 million square feet of usable space on 160 habitable floors.  It is believed that the planned height of the structure has undergone several changes over time, and that it was originally going to be as short as 1,837 ft or as tall as 2,650 ft.
